Another bee posted something about signature drinks and that reminded me of something awesome!
When we booked the venue yesterday, I told her about the signature drink I wanted and that it involved fire and she said I could have it!! All brick building FTW!
Here is my signature drink!
The Goblet of Fire
- 1 oz vodka
- 1 oz blue curacao
- 3 oz lemonade
- Splash 151
- Pinch of cinnamon
- Pour vodka, blue curacao, and lemonade into a goblet-type glass
- Top with a splash of 151 proof rum
- Light on fire
- Add the pinch of cinnamon to the flames (cinnamon will spark)
- *** Blow out flames before consuming! ***
It is so cool looking!! Did anyone else have a signature cocktail? What was it? How did it work out logistically? Should we have two, one for the bride and one for the groom?
This was the website I found the recipe and photo on.

Shoot, meant to change the category.

@mrsmeyers84: I’ve seen in it at the bars in NYC never at a wedding tho. sounds awesome if ur venue and state allows them. Some places it’s banned

@babypearls: The woman at the venue said we could so I am hoping it all works out! I was a little nervous about the fire part but the building is mostly brick and concrete so we shall see. It was the daughter of the owner that I talked to, don’t know if the mother will feel the same way. I won’t be heartbroken if it doesn’t happen though. I just think it would be bad ass and since we are having a wine and beer only reception, it would be nice for people who like regular alcohol to have at least one option.

We have two signature drinks, one for me and one for Fiance, but we’re also doing a suggested drink menu of 8 other drinks inspired by our best friends.
My sig drink is a Waterlily:
- 3/4 ounce lemon juice
- 3/4 ounce violet syrup
- 3/4 ounce Cointreau
- 3/4 ounce Plymouth gin
Shaken and served in a chilled coup. The drink has honestly been an inspiration for our entire wedding- the color scheme of my dress and flowers, the venue, everything.
FIs drink is a Shot and a Beer combo, because he is classy like that (although we might change that simply due to the setup of the venue.) The rest of our drink menu is:
- Genever Blue
- Corpse Reviver #2
- Gin and Juice
- French 75
- Old fashioned
still trying to decide on one more drink inspired by my sister. we’ll see

@mrsmeyers84: any flames or sparks or firecrackers at a wedding are pretty bad ass. Can u imagine walking in and seeing drinks on fire that is def a mood setter lol!
@bkrocks13: I’m not much of a beer person but the first one looks soooooo good!!! (says the prego that is dying for a nice glass of anything lol)
my favorite wedding drink was a raspberry martini. It was simply delicious and light

@bkrocks13: Your drink menu is amazing. The Corpse Reviver #2 is on our list too! My Fiance said look into adding the Blood and Sand because its his favorite 🙂

@ccantics: dude my Fiance made at least 10 blood and sands at the BBQ we threw last night! At one point he had a shaker going in each hand! I will totally suggest that as his sig drink- i’m a bit nervous having a shot be a suggested drink at all for the wedding…its 5hours of solid open bar and we’d prefer for everyone to remain standing for MOST of it 😉

@mrsmeyers84: My signature drink was a pina colada type mixed drink. But serving butterbeer as a signature drink would be pretty cool too!
@ceebree: I’ve thought about that but I don’t know if Fiance would prefer another drink for him instead.
@bkrocks13: Does your venue even allow shots? The last couple weddings we went to didn’t even allow them.
@mrsmeyers84: the venue does, but I dont know if we will offer them.
@bkrocks13: I’m a firm believer that if you mix liquor and beer, black outs ensue! At least, that’s how it’s always been for me. Fiance usually prefers whiskey straight, but there’s NO WAY I’ll allow his drink to be just whiskey (even if we agreed its a Jameson shot toast vs champagne)- we can’t trust everyone to handle it haha.
We are going to have the absinthe fountains, but that has some water in it- right? 😀

The Goblet of Fire is AWESOME! We are having Sangria since we both love it and it mixes wine country (we’re getting married in Sonoma) with our Latin Themed cocktail hour.

@mrspizanotobe: That’s a great way to mix the two! Have you had the goblet of fire before? It sounds delicious, but I haven’t made it yet. We should probably do that before we make a final decision lol.
