I found out from our venue that we can have signature drinks during our cocktail hour and I am so clueless with alcohol and mixing of alcohols, etc. I want to have something fruity for the women and something with more ooopmph to to it for the men. They said we could have 2-3 but don’t recommend going above that number. My Fiance loves scotch but don’t think you can make too many mixed drinks with that. LOL I like things that have a fruity flavor in it but not too over the top sweet. Do any Bees out there have any great ideas for signature drinks? Thanks ahead of time! 🙂 Much appreciated!

@lovelylight99: We just chose our favourite cocktails as our signature drinks. My fiance chose a Mojito. I chose a Tequila Sunrise. We chose a Fruit Cocktail for our non drinkers. Plus Beer, Wine, Spirits and Soft Drink.

We are actually doing a 10 cocktail menu inspired by our “bridal party” (we’re not having Bridesmaid or Best Man or Groomsmen, so this is our shoutout!) Based on your post, I would suggest….
For citrusy: an aviation or a waterlilly- both are beautiful and very similar- not too fruity like a sorority drink but look great in a glass and easy to drink/make!
For boozy: Negroni or Old Fashioned- very masculine and also look nice in a glass, easy to make!
I suggest going to a cocktail spot near your place and trying out some things!

I just made this thread earlier today, and people are replying with their favourite drinks. We bought a book that has over 500 mixed drinks, marked the ones we liked, and we’re trying them all. Not for our wedding, but because we can. But it would be a good place to start!

I personally love scotch and had a great mixed drink not too long ago at the JParker in hotel lincoln. Its one of their own signature cocktails called the wise fool, but here it is
Old Forester Signature Bourbon, Old Overholt Rye, Pedro Ximenez Sherry, Amontillado Sherry, Fernet Branca
not sure about the ratios but it packs a punch but still delightful on the palette
