Yes!  It’s during spring break!  I’m putting myself back through school, FH is in grad school and his 11 year old daughter is obviously in school so Sat April 14, 2012 is the date!

Yup. 05 12 12 has a spiritual meaning to us… We call ourselves “Grace Cases” and 5 represents the # of grace. 12 is considered a perfect number spiritually and thus

05 12 12 is our day of Perfected Grace

We wanted to have our wedding sometime in the summer, since the weather here is so much nicer in the summer and we knew we wanted an outdoor wedding. The photographer we really liked was already booked for Sept 1, 2012, so we chose Sept 2, 2012. It is a Sunday but it’s a long weekend so not a big deal. And most people will be travelling from out of town, so by having the wedding on a Sunday, they don’t have to miss work. It wasn’t a significant date to us when we chose it.

We met in December and were engaged in December so we decided to select a December date.  After checking dates on the calendar, we thought it would be fun to throw a “New Year’s Eve” party for our wedding.  Our theme is Ring In The New Year.  Our family and friends will have a great time.

We picked our date based on availability, avoiding family weddings, and timing. Only later did we find out that we happened to pick the exact same day my great grandmother got marred! She helped raise me when I was little and it is too perfect that we got married exactly 80 years after she did. To the day. Love it!

Yes it does! When looking for dates we wanted to choose a date close to the day that we officially became boyfriend and girlfriend. Since our anniversary date falls on a Thursday, we picked Veteran’s Day weekend.

Last year my Fi’s cousin and Bridesmaid or Best Man was in the hospital REALLY SICK. He was hallucinating and really out of it most of the time. One of the days that we went to visit him in the hospital he told us that God came to him in a dream and talked about us (FI and I.) He said the Lord told him we were destined to be together and that we would marry either the last week of August or the 1st week of September. I knew I loved the fall and most October dates for our venue was filling up so we choose Sept. 8th which is the last day of the 1st full week of September. We did not realize at the time the significance. But as they say, “God works in mysterious ways.”

We were orginally going to have to have the wedding either Sept 15 or 22nd depending on the availability of the venue, but when we went to finaliaze the date with them they mentioned that labor day weekend was available and if we had it on the Sunday of the holiday weekend it would be a thousand dollars cheaper than having it on a Saturday so we jumped on it.  I got home and went to tell my sisters the date and realized that Sunday of Labor Day weekend next year is Sept 2nd.  Which is my deceased fathers birthday.  I thought about changing it because it is going to be an emotional day, but decided to keep it because it will make it more special.
