We picked our day based on a combination of what the weather would be like at our honeymoon destination (Vietnam) and the availability of the venue.

We wanted to get married on 6/6/12 because we first got together on 6/6, but unfortunately it falls on a weekday. So we decided on the 9th for two reasons. The big reason is we liked that 6/9/12 is in increments of 3. Secondly, we thought that since a 9 is an upside down 6, it was the next best thing to being married on the 6th.

I originally wanted to get married July 4th but his orders were to deploy by then, so we picked the only weekend in June we were both available. πŸ™‚ it worked out for the best in the long run!

I’ll be the 3rd generation on my mother’s side to get married on Labor Day weekend.  πŸ™‚

Our wedding date will be the 40th wedding anniversary of my FI’s parents.  I chose the date without even realizing that it was his parents’ wedding anniversary but now the date means so much more to us. πŸ™‚

Fiance asked me out on 10/10/10, proposed on 9/10/11, but we wanted a summer wedding so we were going to go with 3/6/12, but it wouldn’t work with my parents schedules. So right now, it’s 17/6/12…which means nothing (granted, neither did the others…but the number game was cute!).

Well, my Fiance is part Irish (and I probably should be considering the red hair, fair skin & temprament), and since St. Patty’s day falls on a Saturday next year… we went for it (so it’ll be 3/17/12) πŸ™‚ Slightly over a year of being engaged, and only 6ish months of having a date set.

Things are going smoothly though, venue is set, dress is ordered, rings are in, flower girls skirts are in process… now to get those darned STDs ordered & sent out and get the invitations made! Laughing

My wedding date is my fiance’s birthday.  We chose that day to always keep out wedding special.

Ive always KNOWN I wanted to be an April bride. When I think of April I think of Spring. When I think of Spring I think of new, fresh beginnings. I think of a nice soft breeze in the air. Not too hot outside, not too cold either. I want to get married in a beautiful garden, Im all about the scenery. So we took it from there. We checked the April 2013 calendar and saw all the Sat dates first. April 6 was the first sat, okay. April 13… Most AA tend to be superstitous, especially my fam so we didnt want to cause a whole lot of comotion so we didnt pick this date. The Sat after that, April 20, is FH sis b-day, dont want to do that especially since she is a bridesmaid. And the last sat is April 27, the 27th was a day that I married my ex husband so that was a hell no. So… April 6 was the best date for us πŸ˜‰

I originally picked 8/4/12.. I liked how all the numbers were even.. haha and i always LOVED august πŸ™‚ plus I wanted to already be tan and not have to go to the tanning salon… but then the venue we wanted if the date was inbetween may31 and sept 6 we had to block 10 rooms guaranteed.  6 of which were doubles and these rooms were 400 for single and 600 for doulbe a night. and EVERYONE is out of town and I cant see my family paying 1200 or 800 for a hotel for our wedding… eekkk! when they could pay 200 at a nice hotel around the area… soooooo the only other sat available in sept we selected!

at first we didnt want to go into september because all the kids in school its harder to travel out of state for our family members… but…thats what we picked.. I REALLLY wanted our annv to keep the date… april 1st hehehe but we wanted to get married on the beach so April is not the best time!
