Do you need to have chairs?  We signed our license at the wedding but we just leaned over a table to do it instead of sitting.

This is a uniquely Canadian phenomenon, as far as I know.  Assumign your DW is outside of Canada, do you have photos from past weddings in general to show the on-site people what you’re talking about?

FWIW, when I went to my first Canadian wedding, I was super confused by the whole thing until my mom explained it to me.  So maybe it’s just something that needs a little extra explanation.
