My signature still looks like a kid wrote it too, and I’m a year out. 🙂

I had it going good there for a little bit right after the wedding when I had to sign all those documents over and over to change my name. But after that I fell out of practice and still struggle with it a bit. Too many loops!

I’ve tried. It is so hard. My maiden name begins with an R and my new last name will begin with a B so writing those in cursive are so similar my hand just automatically tries to write the R!

I’m in the same boat, almost 17 months later & mine still looks like a kid did it!

Mine is exactly the same.  It was illegible to begin with so I saw no reason to change how I sign.

Yep, mine still looks different every time I try to write it. Been married almost 8 months.

TiaMP:  Haha… I haven’t thouught about this until you brought it up. Good looking out. I’m going to go home from work tonight and practice… See how I do (getting married in less than 2 weeks). I’m sure I’ll be guilty of writing my maiden name instead of the new married name, I heard that’s pretty common.

TiaMP:  lol yes, i practiced for years haha

I noticed that if I was actually trying to perfect it, it cames out terribly. But when I just wing it, it comes out better

TiaMP:  Awful.  It’s awful.  It’s terrible.  It took me 30 years to perfect my own name – now that??  Ugh!

I am just getting used to signing my married name, although a lot of things are still in maiden (just got married less than 2 weeks ago).

For work, I write letters and have been signing with my married name, but have to think about it before doing so. I did just go into the SSA office Monday, so once I get my new card, I can start changing everything else and use my married name for good.

It’s an easy name though… so far, so good!
