None, he was so calm…  that I could tell at least! Except I did think it was strange that he wouldn’t give me his coat when I got cold ๐Ÿ˜‚ (Ring was in the pocket!)

Fiance straight out told me his intentions to propose during our stay in Key West.  He waited until the last day, the last hour before we planned to return home.  He did not exhibit any signs that he was about to propose.

ramengirl :  For the most part DH was completely normal! I did think it was funny that he wanted to have a picnic in downtown Chicago and wanted to carry a backpack with him to “put the food in” (the ring box was too big to fit in his pocket) and in hindsight he was alwfully protective of that backpack Haha. He isn’t much for picnic’s or food, but I just thought he knew that’s something I would love so that’s why he suggested it. Still had no idea he was going to propose!

We backpacked through Spain together and he proposed near the tailend of the trip at the Alhambra in Granada (which I consider to be the most beautiful place). He says he wasn’t nervous but the day of our hike he asked me what kind of pants he should wear…and he never asks for fashion advice so I just kind of knew something was up (I also saw a buldge in his pocket but I couldn’t tell if it was his camera or not).

We were headed to Niagara Falls for my birthday and I had offered to go get his Players Club card for the casino … him: “NO! I’ll get it!”  me: “I know where it is, its just in your bedside table” (we live together) and he like LUNGED across the room to stop me. He wasn’t very careful when he opened the drawer a few minutes later because I saw a ring sized box, but I wasn’t sure, so I thought it might be the earrings I had asked for for my birthday.

The whole drive down he was SUPER quiet, I even said “we don’t have to go this weekend, we can cancel the hotel reservation, its fine”. But he kept insisting he wanted to go. He was behaving strangely most of the night until we got to the hotel and checked in and everything. He proposed later that night and he’d definitely calmed down between checkin and proposal, but he got antsy right before the proposal.

Mine was kinda weird.  He proposed on the top of Rockefeller Center and while we were waiting in the lobby, he was pretty quiet but I just figured he was tired because we had done quite a bit in a short amount of time in NYC.  I even suggested that we didn’t have to go since we had gone up to the top before but obviously he insisted!  He was just so nervous!  Also, while we were on the trip, his mom kept calling him to see if he had proposed yet and she was also watching our dog so everytime she called, he took the call away from me and I was so worried something was wrong with our dog because he always came back from talking to her looking upset/concerned/worried.  Little did I know he was just scared I’d catch on!

My fiance just proposed last week, and there weren’t really any signs that I noticed. We were on vacation hiking and he did keep suggesting we try different paths and keep going just a bit further, and he did drive fairly far to get to a waterfall even though we were both kind of tired that day. I guess it was a little out of the ordinary for him to want to explore off the beaten path like that and I was kind of tired from the previous day’s hike so I was mostly humoring him, but I just thought he was being adventurous and trying to make the most of our last day. Turned out he was looking for the perfect private spot to propose. ๐Ÿ™‚ He’d been carrying the ring around with him for a full week because we were traveling and he was waiting for the right moment, but there were always too many people around until the last day when he took me a bit off trail. He asked if I noticed that he’d had a box in his pants the whole trip, but I honestly hadn’t haha!

My now fiance and I had plans to go to a nature preserve we both like. I had always told him it would be a beautiful place to propose, and I knew the proposal was coming, so I kind of had an idea. I was taking longer than usual to get ready because I thought it might be the big day, and he got super antsy and was kind of rushing me out the door (he was very nervous). He definitely seemed a little anxious as we were walking through the preserve and was clearly scoping out a spot. But the biggest clue was the ring box visibly in his shorts pocket!

I didn’t think there were too many signs, which surprised me because I thought he wouldn’t be able to hide it! He even kept his cool when the original location he planned didn’t work out since it was super crowded. It was only right before he got down on one knee that he got a little nervous and awkward. ๐Ÿ™‚

None. Except it was an unseasonably warm day in Jan and he had on his huge coat. It was the only one that he could hide the ring in. ๐Ÿ™‚

I had no clue, we had spent the entire day moving. It was 11:30 at night and he reminded me that his parents got us some champagne to celebrate our new place. At first I said I didn’t want any because we still had soooo much to do, but he covinced me by saying that we had to celebrate before the day was over. I didn’t realize what was happening until he started giving a little toast and his voice got all weird. Then I saw him reaching for his pocket and – well you know the rest ๐Ÿ˜Š

Mine sent out plenty of signs. He said he was buying me something very special for Christmas and it was from a jewelry store. He emphasized that he wanted me to open presents Christmas Eve (not wait). He kept on reminding me in texts how special my gift would be and he couldn’t wait to give it to me (I worked a 12-hour shift that day). He’s not exactly subtle, lol.
