None, zero, zilch. I was 37w6d came home from work and had a nice bath as I did about 3-4 times a week, ate dinner, went to bed and at 11pm my water broke. Baby was born just over 24 hrs later! No nesting, weird feelings, change in energy etc. Just bam – baby!

My dog (beagle) started acting crazy!  She was sniffing around nonstop, just hyper and nuts!  Having no idea what was going on, I called the vet.  The vet suggested I might be in labor!!!   She was right!

During the last few weeks, the soreness and tiredness builds. However, the day before I went into labor, it felt like our son was bearing down with more pressure than normal. We went to Target that evening to pick up a few things. Normally, I could spend lots of extra time in there, browsing through all the aisles, but that night, I just wanted to get what I needed and get home. This was at about 7:30 at night. About 8 hours later, my water broke and I was on my way to the hospital!

I had a lot of nesting during the pregnancy, but the day my water broke, I was just feeling kinda swollen and tired. I was so tired I couldn’t go into my office to pick something up, which required very little energy.

None!! The night before (I was 39w 4d) I was at dinner with my parents and ILS and I said “I’m going to be pregnant forever. This kid is showing no signs of going anywhere.” 5 am the next morning, I woke up with on and off cramping (which turned out to be contractions, who knew?). He was born at 5 pm!

Excuse my ignorance but what is ‘nesting’?

I never had Braxton hicks contractions throughout my pregnancy, then started having them 2-3 days before my due date. The night of my due date, I woke up with “menstrual” cramps. These ended up being early labour and my son was born about 10 hours later. I was in denial that I was actually in labour as I never lost my mucous plug and never had any bloody show.

I had a splitting headache. 37w5d I was, had a super bad head ache. Ate some cereal, then my water broke. No contractions or anything until about an hour later. I was in denial that I was in labour until I got to the hospital and they put me in the birthing suite.

@Sasha2011:  Nesting is when a woman starts to clean and get organized like crazy.

OP I may not be a good source, but I had no idea I was about to go into labor. Granted I went into labor at 28 weeks, but I did have a feeling that made me feel off. Can’t really describe it. I just had a feeling.

Nesting, constant braxton hicks, and my dog followed me everywhere the day my water broke which is unlike her
