Please, please, please don’t get me wrong. I LOVE my future SIL. She is a wonderful person that has accepted me into her family with open arms. I love her like family and that is the reason I asked her to be a bridesmaid. I don’t have a sister and she doesn’t either so we have become quite close and great friends. We have nothing in common, however we try to venture into the other’s interests. I am going to be blunt, and I am sorry if I offend anyone here. She, and the rest of my future inlaw/family are big giant rednecks. The real kind too. Beer drinking, Nascar watching, Beanie-Weenie-eating, squirrel hunting, REDNECKS. I love my fiancee more than life itself and I have accepted everything about him, even his hillbilly family and habits.
I am not the Queen of England, and was raised on little to no money, however my parents taught me to be tactful and present myself in a manner in which money is of no importance. I would like to think that even thought I am a little weird and quirky, I have class. Okay so we got that out of the way, back to my SIL.
She has no fashion sense whatsoever. Like none, zero. She wears Nascar shirts to every event we have ever hosted. She wears her pants up to her bra line and has that certain wardrobe malfunction that resembles the foot of a desert animal….. yeah sorry for the visual. She has no front teeth, she doesn’t brush her hair- she just washes it, then goes to bed and then goes to work with bed-head. Her hygiene is…. questionable at best. I mean she showers but doesn’t take care of her nails and feet and stuff which I think is just part of being a woman.
Anyway…. how do I make her presentable for the wedding and pictures and whatnot without just totally crushing her feelings?
P.S. in case you’re wondering, my fiancee is what I like to call a “closet redneck”. He still watches Nascar and dress horribly but when no one is around haha.
