I’ve been sent some photos of a mock-up for my bridal bouquet and the groom’s bout. I’m not sure if I like them. Thoughts? You can vote for multiple choices in the poll, though typed explanations of why you chose what you did would be helpful. Thanks in advance!
The above is the groom’s bout. Fiance says he will NOT wear a pink flower and I asked her to make it mainly ivory and that if there was any pink it, that they just be small little accent flowers. I think it looks weird to have a huge ivory flower and a huge pink flower together like that, but then again, I haven’t seen all that many bouts in my life. Also, Fiance will be wearing a black suit, so should I ask for the ribbon on it to be black instead of white?
Above are two shots of my bouquet. My colours are pink, peach, coral, ivory, and black. My dress, obviously, is ivory and my shoes will be coral. However, my shoes are a darker coral than anything in the bouquet. I only dyed my shoes to go with the bouquet and now it doesn’t seem like it will match at all.
Since both shots are showing pretty much the same side, it’s hard to tell for sure, but it kind of looks like there are alternation lines of ivory flowers and pinkish flowers. I don’t really want a striped bouquet, but I’m not sure how to describe how I’d want it to be more randomly assorted. And would it look better not to have so many ivory flowers?
I’m also not sure about the black thing on the handle. It almost looks like the stems are wearing a miniature garter. She had said she would incorporate the black by putting a ribbon the handle, but I kind of figured she meant like tie it in a bow with the end streaming down from the bow. Doesn’t it kind of look like this black thing was just thrown on it to have the colour there, but doesn’t really fit with the rest of the bouquet? Should I ask for some kind of black ribbon, but different to what’s there or just ditch any black entirely?
Also, my dress is lace. Would it look better to have the stems wrapped in lace rather than ribbon?
I feel really bad about being kinda meh on the work this girl has done. It’s probably my fault for not being specific enough in the first place. 🙁
