I have always been a real flower girl. I really dislike when you go to a Doctors office or a business and they have the terrible fake flowers or greens. So when it came to my bouquet I was pretty sure I’d have real flowers. But then I started doing some research and I began to worry about wilting flowers or that they’d fall apart or they wouldn’t be the exact color that I wanted. I wanted very vibrant and bright colors as my wedding is going to be fuschia and tangerine. The more I read the more I realized to guarentee the color vibrance I wanted silk flowers was the way to go. I was lucky to find a wonderful Etsy artist who worked with me to create my vision.
I basically google searched and located the exact bouquet I wanted. I will admit that I did inquire with the actual person who made that bouquet but the customer service was TERRIBLE. So that is when I went to Etsy. I forwarded my inspiration photos and I couldn’t be happier with the end result. I used AmoreBride and would highly recommend Michele. Here is my bouquet:
Any other brides surprised they went with silk flowers? Show me yours!!

I ordered my bouquets in silk, but I didn’t like how fake the silk ones looked – see picture :
So i’m going to take out the pink ones & make poms.. and replace them with foam flowers, which I think look TONS better :

We’re going with high quality silk flowers. They are a bit more expensive than some other silks I’ve seen in stores and online, but I’m going to keep my bouquet and hopefully use it again someday for an important anniversary vow renewal, so to me it’s worth the extra cost (which was only around $20-30 more) to have good quality bouquets that look like real, fresh flowers. I especially want them for my bouquet since it will be in most of the wedding pictures and photographed from close-up.
I was having a hard time deciding which kinds of flowers for my bouquet and eventually found this picture on my florist’s Facebook page of the exact bridal bouquet I want. At first I hesitated because I know they designed this same bouquet for another bride, but my florist said it was a few years ago and the bride was from several states away so it will be unique to my area. My bouquet will be slightly smaller than this one, but I love it so much that we even changed our wedding colors so I can have this exact style and colors. Hope that doesn’t make me sound crazy. Ha, ha.
