I am doing silk for cost savings. I am very happy with it, it was an area worth scrimping for me. That bouquet is GORGEOUS!!

Oh man, I love flowers (real ones) and wouldnt have it any other way–even if they did die before the night was over. Plus, I’m going to do quite a bit of research into pressing flowers so I can press flowers from the bouquet. But, my opinion is skewed because I’m a gardener and hunt wildflowers as a hobby…

We’re doing silk flowers. The bouquets are being worked on now and it’s still 2 months before my wedding. They won’t die!!!

And yeah, they’re GORGEOUS – not to mention, I bought about 8 dozen silk roses for all of about $60

Though I would love to have real flowers, the cost and time they last just don’t make it worthwhile to spend all that money on.

That bouquet is so pretty! I’m a huge fan of fresh flowers- our Destination Wedding in Maui will definitely take advantage of local fresh flowers:) Some flowers really don’t hold up in hot weather- maybe discuss with a florist to pick flowers that are more hearty? You have to love whatever flowers you pick- real or silk, so go with you gut instinct and whatever is most practical for your special day:)

I love that bouquet! It actually looks quite similar to what I’ll have. Silk flowers are great because they’ll last, well.. forever! Unlike real flowers that’ll go within a week.

    I guess it’s a preference.

I plan on ordering my bouquet from samsclub. Here’s what it will look like:

    Cheaper than a florist!

@LeosLady28:  Well my mother in law plans to put our bouquets together. But I definately want to see her Etsy store.

I prefer silk. They don’t wilt, and you can keep your bouquet forever! There are some amazing silk flower designers out there. At my niece’s wedding, her flowers looked so real that her Mother-In-Law put her corsage in the fridge the night before!

I vote silk!!! Silk you can arrange before hand and it lasts and it’s ligtweight!
