I saw a dress I loved but it is made of Silk Shantung which I never heard of before. The sample was so wrinkled and the store said it was because of it being a new dress and sent to them folded. I still never saw a dress so wrinkly. In doing some checking it appears Silk Shantung, no matter how much it is steamed, will always have a somewhat “crinkled” look to it. It will also wrinkle easy.
Has anyone heard of this and is this true for this material? I am stearing clear of that dress for that reason and found a similar one in Organza. Is Organza better as far as not wrinklying?
Any thoughts is appreciated
