I use freecycle a lot and just got home from cycling a 14-mile round trip up hills in the rain to collect an antique copper pan from a lady who wanted it gone. Turns out that it wasn’t the beautiful kitchen implement I really wanted to display with pride, but a bed-warming pan which I then had to cycle home with the handle sticking out of the top of my rucksack. I suppose at least I got a workout while I was at it! I didn’t really feel like I could tell her I’d got it wrong once I got there, so I’ll have to find a home for it somewhere…
Has anyone else had any silly misunderstandings recently?

About a million. I have been so flighty & forgetful lately!
I meet up with a running group a few times a week, so last week I get there, think I’m late, so I head off to run the route & try to catch up with the others. Only, I get back after running the entire route and there STILL isn’t anybody there. Turns out the clock in my car was wrong, so I was over an hour early to my group. Womp womp.
I thought I lost my keys when I was out to dinner with the future in-laws. I dug through my gigantic purse, searched around the table & chairs, and was just about to call Fiance to come get me with the spare key when I realized they were in my pocket the entire time.
I went to brunch with Fiance Sunday & forgot the coupon… it was in the car door.
To top it all off, I nearly ran into a parked car while we were riding our bicycles through the neighborhood.
Sometimes I think it would just be safer if I stayed home, stayed away from the stove, and avoided sharp objects. Ugh.

@DaneLady: Haha, I know what you mean – sometimes I wonder if I should be allowed in the kitchen…
I’ve just had something else happen too! I was picking up yet another freebie from freecycle and the woman gave me measurements in cm when she meant inches! I had to push the sucker home about a half a mile through town! ARGH!
