It would probably take you 20 years to go through a box of tampons if it’s just for your friends’ emergencies, but why not be prepared?  You’re certainly not obligated, but it would be nice.

@Ronneykay: I’d say just invest the $10 in a box of tampons and a package of pantyliners to stash under the sink. The panicked gal wearing her favorite pair of panties will silently thank you forever when she finds them while frantically peeking in your drawers and cupboard 🙂

if all else fails they can be used for a bloody nose in an emergency lol I had to do that once when I was out in the snow and got a winter nose bleed all I had was tampons in my purse but it worked

I think I would have a box around just in case, I started at someones house totally not expected and didn’t have anything with me, I ended up leaving early

Haha, I did this last time I had an emergency at my in-laws place.  Frantically searching through her cupboards before I realized “She’s probably post-menopausal, damn it!”

It’s definitely not mandatory, but if I ever saw a good sale, I might pick up a box to stash under my sink for other people’s emergencies.

I keeo a courtesy box under the sink and a couple lady’s products in my purse for my blessed friends.  Sometimes you just gotta help a girl out. Laughing

My mom had a hysterectomy several years ago and continued to keep a box of tampons at her house just in case.

I don’t get my period anymore because of my birth control but I still keep a box under the sink for if/when I have friends over.

Oh yes, as a person who has had emergencies before I wont greatly appreciate it. My period is erratic (two this month!) and honestly I don’t like carrying around those sort of things unless I have to. So I don’t always have supplies when I get my surprise. =/
