No need to start a conversation, unless you forgot to mention something in the notes.

Each seller is different, but in my experience, they will contact you. Did you get a paid confirmation yet? Thats generally the first step.

If you have questions about how that buyers process works, I would start a converation, even if you are just confirming that she received your order.

Everytime I’ve had an Etsy message, it gets sent to my gmail too. So, I wouldn’t worry about missing any communication.

Etsy also has an iPhone app, which I find VERY dancgerous, but your messages get sent directly to you that way as well!

I buy things on Etsy somewhat frequently. Typically a seller contacts you through Etsy messaging. You also get an email (the one you registered with for your Etsy account) that tells you a message is in your inbox and shows you what it says. If you are worried just send the seller a private message saying you would like to reconfirm everything.

I have an Etsy store and I’m surprised she did not convo you to confirm your order. I do that with every buyer.

Anyway, as long as ships in the time promised, there should be no problem. But if you have any questions or you just want to touch base, you should feel free to do that.

And yes, all Etsy convos go to email on both ends:)

@PutABirdOnIt:  Hm, I’m not sure I’ve ever gotten an order confirmation convo. Normally I pay and get a standard confirmation from Etsy and then a shipment notice.

I have found only certain sellers send confirmation messages. Often times you will never hear from them and may not get a shipment notification only to find the item in your mailbox!

Like PPs said, some sellers send confirmations and some don’t but you should be all set as long as you didn’t forget anything in your notes to seller! If you have any questions, though, I’m sure the seller would be happy to answer them. 🙂 Just remember (as I sometimes forget, haha) that most people do this on the side/as a hobby, so it may take them a day or two to get back in touch.
