so this may seem really silly, as i’m sure i’m overthinking it, but:
are there any brides out there who usually wear glasses, but are going glasses-less on their wedding day?
i had my hair and makeup trial with contacts, and thought it felt awesome not to have my glasses smudge up my makeup in any way.
but our wedding logo is also comprised of my fiance and my glasses. i mentioned it to my 16-year-old niece and she thought it was weird to not wear my glasses when i have a logo splashed all over the place with my glasses. any opinions would help ease these irrational worries! thanks bees!

If you loved not wearing glasses then don’t wear them. You didn’t style your hair they same way for the logo did you? Did you wear the same dress/shoes/veil/lip color? Even if you answered yes to all the above-It is your wedding day you are allowed to do whatever you want!

I didn’t wear mine even though I normally do. I was mostly concerned about glare in photos then I was about my makeup.

Yes I wear glasses 95% of the time, but I won’t be in my wedding. A few people have commented on that fact, saying I won’t look like myself, etc, and to them I say, oh well! You’ll get over it and you’ll still recognise me. Do what feels right and definitely don’t worry about the logo thing!

going into contacts for my big day.

My regular glasses are black frames. I have a pair of frameless glasses for the big day. I have tried and tried to wear contacts and I just can’t do it.

I just didn’t want my glasses covering up my face and didn’t want to worry about the glare.
I don’t think you ‘have’ to wear you’re glasses just b/c you used them in your wedding logo… they are still you… just not joining on the day of. lol
Lots of ladies add/take away certain things like that for the big day… ie. extensions, wearing contacts, fake eyelashes, etc….
Do what makes you feel stunning and don’t worry about the rest 😉

For my senior high school portrait, I decided to go with a picture of me without my glasses, even though I never went without them then, and still wear them all the time now. To be honest, though it is a good picture, when I look at it, I feel like it’s not really “me”. So, given that I’m not about to start wearing contacts, and I highly doubt I’ll be brave enough to get lasik anytime soon, I think I will probably wear my glasses for my wedding.

I wear glasses most of the time, but always wear my contacts for special occasions. so I’m going with contacts for the wedding. You have to do what feels best for you, and not what you think you should do because of your logo.

I actually had planned to wear my glasses at my wedding and then in the hustle and bustle of the day, I managed to forget them in the bridal room! lol I think you should go with what makes you feel good. If that’s wearing glasses, then wear them. If you loved having the contacts on, then go with contacts!

I had a similar issue with my Fiance and our personalised cake topper (he is wearing glasses on the cake topper but will be wearing contacts on the day of). I figure it doesn’t matter becuase everyone there will KNOW that he usually wears glasses, even if he’s not at the time.
Don’t stress 🙂

If you liked yourself in contacts, wear contacts! I usually wear glasses, mostly because I’m too lazy to take the time to put contacts in. When I do wear them, I do get friends looking at me for a bit longer to figure out what looks different, but hey, a lot about my look will be different on my wedding day! When I’m old enough/have the money, I’ll be getting lasik anyways, so I don’t think I’d look back later and think “That doesn’t look like me!”

WEAR CONTACTS! just my opinion but its so much more elegant. For me glasses are my casual look.

I almost always wear glasses…I can’t see a darn thing without them. On special occasions, I wear contacts. And a wedding is definitely a special occasion, so I wore contacts.

I was planning on wearing my glasses, but now I’m second guessing it. It’s been more than two years since I wore contacts, and even then it was just for two days. It’s been about four years since I wore them semi-regularly, about probably eight years since I wore them every day. I’ve seen a few pictures of me dressed up recently with glasses, and it looks a little weird. I’ll have to get new contacts if I decide to go that route, but I was also thinking of getting new “dressy” glasses.
If you’re ovethinking it, I am too.
Side note: when you do you makeup, do you put your contacts in afterwards? I don’t normally wear makeup, but I seem to remember it felt weird to put on eyeshadow/liner with my contacts in.
