GO HOME GIRL… and yes, yes I do really want to. You’re getting married the day after me!

Wedding Date: 8/9/13

Engagement Length: PRECISELY one year. Literally getting married on the anniversary of our engagement, though I dunno if it counts since it’s across the date line?

Colors: Purple and teal. soooooo creative right? (I swear it was an accident, we bickered a little about colors and agreed we’d each pick one. He picked purple, I picked teal.)

Theme: Shit we like and think is cool… in purple and teal.

Wedding Party(#s): 5 bridesmaids, 5 groomsmen, no specialties. (No MOH/Best man/etc.)

Ceremony Time: 7 PM

Reception Time: 7:30 PM cocktail hour starts

Dress Designer: Uhh… several people lol. Ceremony corset from corset-story.com, ceremony skirt from an etsy seller, reception dress from victorian choice.

Hair/Makeup (Pro/DYI): DIY. With bright blue and purple eyeliner and fake lashes if I can manage it and a vibrant red lip and not a stitch of bronzer. Wild and pale and bright.

Honeymoon: Delayed by several months due to work vacation issues. We’re thinking Boracay in the winter… I’ve always wanted to go somewhere warm when it’s cold.

Flowers: No real flowers. Or imitations. We’re decorating with lanterns, garlands, and 1000 paper cranes.

First Dance Song: You and I by Ingrid Michaelson
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OvMVCHhwTPs

Centerpieces:  Test tubes in pretty holders filled with colored water and vellum paper flowers printed with text from my favorite books and folded by my aunt. 🙂 And possibly lavender flower petals and LED lights if I can get them in there somehow becase I have a ton of extra flower petals and LED lights.

Food/Menu: Cocktail hour:
-Shrimp Ceviche
-Pita chips and fancy hummus
-Beef fillet roulade
-Mini quiches (cliche but I love mini quiches)
-Beggars purse

Mains:
-Green Salad
-Wild mushroom stuffed ravioli
-Free range turkey breast or blackened mahi mahi for meat. (All buffet anyway so I guess a little of each is probably an option haha)

Cake Flavour: Vanilla genoise with bailey’s espresso soak and frangelico mascarpone mousse. I’m asking them to dye the cake part ombre blue and cover the outside in sprinkles. Inspiration pic:

Favours: Sandalwood hand fans

DJ/Band/Ipod: IPOD! 😀 Excited about this

Bachelorrete (when/what): Joint stag/hen party the day AFTER the wedding lol… in an izakaya private room with sushi and drinks and karaoke among friends.
