Nothing in my food or drink or anything public. A vacay proposal would have been nice. I dont want him asking my dad… I mean, he didn’t ask my dad if we could move in together or have a baby… I’m grown! Didn’t want him getting down on one knee.

Holiday or overly public. The more intimate the better.

just reading through this makes me feel cliche… lol
both my SO and I were previously engaged to other people, and both had very lack-luster, “here you go, I didnt put much thought into your christmas present” proposals. So that was my only stipulation. NO HOLIDAY/BIRTHDAY proposals… and no… hush hush, here ya go, kinda moments.

He is fully intentioned (and tediously planning) on a big/over the top/ no one better forget when and how we got engaged/ kinda proposal. but promised no football games, because i wouldnt pay attention or he would forget to ask in all the excitement. (we’re huge college football fans)

@LittleE3:  I understand that and this wasn’t my first marriage. I guess that’s why I wasn’t interested in getting my dad’s blessing.. I didn’t get his blessing for the 1st marriage either (an elopement) but I did do the father/daughter dance and he walked me down the aisle the 2nd time around. My dad isn’t super lubby dubby with me. In fact he’s never said I love you to me but I knows he loves me because he shows it.

No food or drinks. Too many horror stories. Just my luck I would swallow the ring. YIKES!
