Fiance and I are debating on whether or not to have bridesmaids/groomsmen. Both of us have people close enough that we would like to have them stand up with us. However, if we have a wedding party, there will be about 10 people standing at the altar, and about 12 in the audience. With this small of a wedding, does it just look silly to have a wedding party? Should we forgo it and just invite everyone as regular guests?

I had a small wedding, around 35 people. We decided to just do a Maid/Matron of Honor and Best Woman with my sister and his sister. I felt the same way, like it would be too much and also too much of an expense for friends. We took a lot of pictures with our friends and got ready with them around too…it was fun!

It does sound like a party of 10 is too big for an intimate wedding. Can you cut the size of the party to 1-2 attendants each?
