What a beautiful combination of flower colors! If I had to critique your centerpieces, I’m stuck on the tealight candle – I’m imagining that I’d be tempted to try colored floating candles, maybe something like this:

I don’t know why, but my eye is constantly drawn to the metal on the tealight candles.  I’m pretty sure it won’t matter at all in your reception room, if you’re lighting candles it probably means guests won’t notice what I’m noticing! So far, you’re doing great on the DIY! 😀 Great job!

Edit:  Looking at the photo again, maybe pink candles would be too much.  Or white ones?

very pretty – but my first reaction was that they should be on something. . maybe a plate?   Something to keep them together.

I’m also a fan of simple centerpieces.  I agree maybe a colored candle and something to tie it all together.  Home depot sells tiles for pretty cheap, and you could put that under what you have.  We almost used them to go under our centerpieces, but then decided against it.  Will you have colored linens?  That might add something too.  These were ours.  (The Cape Cod sign was the table “number”).

A pebble floor tile would be a great base

very pretty…….I like pengoala idea of the pink votive candle. Have you though of using a mirror base to put it all on a tie it all together. You can pick them up on the internet for a  pretty inexpensive price.

The flowers are beautiful and I think a tile or a mirror…maybe even a tray would bring them all together. And I do agree that the metal of the tealight is a little distracting.

@pengoala:  I agree with her about the tealights.  I like the ones without the metal much better but the centerpiece is lovely!!

I think it you used pengoala’s floating candles and julies1949’s pebble base your centerpieces would look perfect. Your colors are very pretty, especially the large pom in the back.

I agree with PP that the floating candles would be great- they’ll also burn longer. What color is your tablecloth? This would look great on light grey.
