sinsyddy :  Have you considered switching your engagement ring (maybe with an enhancer) to you right hand when you are married? The 5 stone ring would be gorgeous on its own and it would give you flexibility in designing the engagement ring.

I couldn’t decide between a round solitaire or a cushion solitaire. My fiance surprised me with my e ring and went for a round solitaire with 4 prongs which sort of squares it off, but not completely. It’s like the best of both worlds. Maybe you could look at four prong round solitaire styles because it’s a good middleground if you can’t choose between the two styles.

I voted cushion because I love the way the straight line of the ring emphasizes the lines of the wedding band. I thought I would like the round more, but to me it seems like the round stones are competing a little.

ETA- what do you mean she gave you half of her band? I haven’t heard of that before.

That’s a very sweet gesture. I would prefer a simple solitaire with your lovely band.

I think the round gives you more finger coverage and also matches the wedding band.

moopy :  I agree. I’m a round girl 99% of the time but in this case I think I prefer the cushion. It works with the wedding ring better than the round does.

OP will it bother you at all having moissy next to diamond? I think it might bother me since they do have slightly different looks. If you wanted a diamond look without the price, you could get a Lightbox (I think they have the full carat in stock now for about $900)) or Asha/Amora or even a high quality CZ. All of those stone options will match the look of the diamond in your wedding ring closer than moissy. Totally disregard if you are set on moissy!
