hey ladies 🙂
i just yes to my dress, the very beautiful Stella York 5838!
I was just wondering if you guys would be able to help me pick between two veils? I will upload one one either side for comparison.
im getting mixed thoughts from my loved ones– some say it’s a detailed dress so go for simple to not take away from my dress or face while others think the lace one matches and adds to the look.
Please help me out with your thoughts!

Normally I would say lace because I’m a lace enthusiast and my veil is lace also, but for some reason I really like the one without the lace with your dress . the sparkles on the end look really nice with it and I think it’s a better match . Beautiful dress. Looks like it was made for you

First of all…beautiful dress…& from what i can see, I can tell you look amazing in it. I actually like the simple veil. I like the sparkle on the edge & I think it brings out the sparkle in your dress. I personally feel that the lace is a little overpowering…but it doesn’t look bad.

My vote is for the simple veil. The simple veil and your dress complement each other and show each other off. The sparkle at the edge of the veil is a nice touch.
I think the lace veil and the pattern on your dress drown each other out. Neither the veil or the dress look as good as they would seperately.

I prefer the beaded edge veil to the lace one with this dress. The lace on the edge of the veil is competing with your dress. It would be far better on something plainer than the dress you’ve got on. The beaded one kinda adds to your dress and I do see a bit of sparkle there.

Your dress is beautiful. I’m a fan of the lace veil, it matches your dress perfectly and seems to be a complete look. The other veil is beautiful as well, but I vote lace. congrats!

I voted simple veil. I noticed more of your gorgeous dress details than when you were wearing the lace veil.

Thanks very much! I agree this dress just makes me feel like a bride although others I have tried on were very pretty, this one just made me picture my actual wedding 😉
The sparkle too I thought added a nice touch!
Thank you! I was worried also that the lace might be overpowering and I think my eyes go to it more than the dress which isn’t the look I am going for~
Thanks for the input! This makes a lot of sense. I agree the veil is very beautiful which is why I think I am torn, but it does seem to compete with the dress which isn’t good if I will be spending 1K+ on it and will come off after the ceremony
Thanks for your input! In my mind I guess I thought the dress wasn’t too detailed and would be okay with a veil that’s not too plain, but everyone thus far has said my dress is detailed and not very simple so I can see why having it draw more attention would be a problem.
Thanks very much! That is why I’ve been torn, my younger sister and consultant loved the lace one on me which is why I put a deposit down on it but I’ve been second guessing myself since I never pictured my veil to get as much attention as my dress when I got married.
Thanks very much for this confirmation. I agree that the simple veil lets the dress details through beautifully, while the lace veil is beautiful as well but is competing/taking away from the dress.
Thank you bees for all your prompt, insightful comments and thoughts and votes– this has helped me immensely!
I immediately emailed RK Bridal where I had put the deposit down on since they were closed and I got a response this morning that they could halt the order on the veil and I could either choose another veil later or put the depost towards my dress so kudos to them and thanks everyone for helping me make this decision!!
