@StuporDuck:  Ha! That reminds me of the Civil War stories I think it was, there were boys that were under 18 so they put a piece of paper in their shoe that said 18.  When they walked in the recruiter would say are you 18?  And they would say I’m over 18, sir!  

No idea if thats a true story or not but I always thought it was funny.

little more than a half carat (.57) but I think it still counts ๐Ÿ™‚

I’ll call it a half carat deco sapphire halo ring. sz 6 

The halo makes the diamond look way bigger

Center GIA .40 F; sides .25 Gs.  Neverending complements on these stones/this ring.  (eta, sides are Gs and I pulled out the cert – all ‘very good’ cuts and ‘vs’ clarity.  Mentioning this because it might support the statement of how a good cut/color/clarity does an excellent job of bringing front-and-center the bold beauty of any sized stone, especially those <1 carat beauties.

I’m literally drooling at everyone’s rings! love them! and they all look so BIG! lol.

here’s my half carat. i love it! most people think it’s at least a carat, and plus it was only $799 when we bought it and now it’s selling for $1,199! crazy.
