My wedding is in 9 days…9!! How is that possible!
Everything is ready. The dress, the shoes, the schedule, the vendors, the guests are all organized. The DIYs are all done. The only thing that has gone wrong so far is that my gifts for the flower kids have not shown up yet, but I have hope they will appear today or tomorrow before we head to hometown for a week of pre-wedding madness.
I didn’t sleep last night for the excitement and nervousness. And I have 9 more days to go! How can I cope?
I find myself terrified that
– I will get a yeast infection
– I will get a sty in my eye
– I will get a huge zit
– I will get the flu
– etc etc
Of course, stressing is making it more likely these things will happen!
Any advice bees on how to remain calm in these last few days?

@envirobride: Aww! Big hugs to you! Remember to breathe. Take care of yourself, drink lots of water, don’t do anything out of the ordinary from your daily lifestyle. All that being said, I got a zit (I never get zits…) and sun irritation on my face the day before my wedding, and it was still the best day ever! Makeup is a godsend. 😀 Don’t worry, it’s all going to work out!
If all else fails, try a banana. Bananas help me calm down. I’m serious! Something about a banana functioning as a beta blocker, and helping people stay calm.
Happy home stretch! You’re almost there!

Exercise. I am not a regular exerciser (I’m trying to be, but am not yet at that point), but I find that I feel much calmer after I do some cardio. Just try and burn yourself out through exercise… and you’ll be able to sleep better and will likely have a much more calm mental state.
Don’t start any new skincare routine or anything.. but maybe do a face mask or two to help make sure your pores are clear.
Try to immerse yourself in different things… what did you enjoy prior to wedding planning? Even reading a book or watching a movie can help.
I also tend to stress the most when I’m alone w. my thoughts… go visit a friend or something.
Congrats, by the way!

Eat yogurt! That will help keep any yeast infections away. Agree with the pp about exercize, that will help! I get worried about styes too, I get them and hate them! Maybe don’t wear any eye makeup between now and the wedding to be 100% sure? I am going to stop wearing eye makeup a couple weeks before mine to make sure. A stye would be the worst!

Thanks all : ) I’ve been working out like a maniac but skipped yesterday so maybe that is contributing. There is a zumba class I could go to later, hmm….
no eye make up is a good idea too – would probably help the skin too!
must shop for bananas and yogurt 🙂

BREATHE 🙂 I completely understand the panic, it’s SO CLOSE!! You’ll be fine, I would follow the advice of everyone here, and just remember to take deep breath. And, worst case scenario and something DOES happen…you’re still getting married!!

breathing deeply LOL thanks everyone. Today is my last day to rattle around the house alone so I’m hoping the company of my family will help the nerves too.

You will have a wonderful wedding day. Just breathe and relax. You will be fine. And you will be surprised how fast things go by

Bless your heart! I feel your pain and I’m still 77 days out… Everything will be wonderful and anything that goes wrong people will hide it from you. You’ll never know. Best wishes on your day.

It’s the night before my wedding, and I am trying to do the same things you are to relax! My method? I decided to go on wedding bee and read the emotional boards. I’m feeling much more relaxed now that I know there are people out there who have it WAY worse than me!
