Paste the image directly into Illustrator and pen tool it out.

Try it once and see how it goes – if you can’t do it I might give it a try and send you the .ai file to work with.

PS you can also google “XXANYTHINGXX vector” and get a million hits. For example ‘banner vector’. There are free download sites like deposit files and others – just be cautious so you don’t download a virus.

If you are willing to pay – try iStock. It’s where I buy anything and everything stock.

You could try printing out this design then use tracing paper to copy it (of course changing the names and information as you go) Then scan it in and use “live trace” to make it vector and change the colors. This might work well if the pen tool is giving you a hard time. Good Luck! 🙂

I love this program as well but don’t have the skills or knowledge to make it myself in Adobe Illustrator. Did you end up figuring out how to do it?

Illustrator actually has some banners built right in!

Go under the window menu>brush libraries>Decorative>Decorative_banners and seals (see above image)

On the right hand side you see the variety of banners. using the paintbush tool, you can draw the shape you want the banner to follow. Click on the shape you made, and then click on the banner style you like, and voila!
