My sister just old me that her and her fiancé are going to be having a destination wedding for just the two of theM. While I’m very sad that I won’t be actually there for her big day I still want to put something together for her to have on her wedding day. Does anyone have any ideas on some items I could put into a care package/wedding day survival kit? Particularly something that would come in handy for a destination wedding? Maybe even something for her groom too?
I was thinking of including a note/my last with an embroidered hanky with her initials and some basics like aspirin, mints. I’m thrilled to hear any creative ideas you all have!

I love the idea of a hanky! They would also probably really appreciate a basket where they’re staying- wine & strawberries, etc.

@Weddingplanner15: if its a Destination Wedding theres a good chance that the hotel will not only decorate their room with petals, but provide sparkling wine and either chocolates/strawberries or something similar. well actually it depends on where it is, i know a lot of resorts in mexico do something like that
couples massage? private tour to somewhere? ooh…sometimes you can book a private dinner on the beach (if its a beach location) which is great for couples
depends on what she likes! my sister would go nuts for a fancy bath oil or candle(like jo malone) or a spa treatment. Id go nuts over a box of carefully pac ked godiva chocs (though hot climate might melt)

Are they still doing a bunch of photography? If so and it’s a hot destination maybe those face things for blotting sweat without losing your make up so her make up doesn’t melt off? (sorry I can’t remember what they are actually called)

Do you know where they will be staying? You could call the hotel and ask what add-ons are available (like a massage or adventure excursion.)

Hahaha, I know it sounds bad but I would give her some things that I would hope my sisters would save me with on my wedding day: tampons, a small sewing kit, double-sided tape, kleenex, a couple mini-bar bottles of whiskey, and a lovely note for her to read while she’s getting ready.

@Weddingplanner15: that is an awesome idea ! I think it is a sign of love and appreciation for your sister to do something like this even though ( i would be kind of bummed too) she is having a very intimate wedding.

@Weddingplanner15: Maybe you could make a video of you and other family members wishing her a wonderful wedding day. Make one for her and her groom to watch while they are getting ready separately.
