My mum is a chill as a cool cucumber. My sisters on the other hand…. are CRAZY.

My mother and I have an awful relationship. My sister and I are the absolute best of friends. We don’t go a day without taking. My mom and I will go months without speaking.

When my mom and FI’s mom have gotten a little, let’s say, overzealous with wedding-related stuff, it has been my sister and my FI’s sister who have stood up for and stood by me.  So I vote mothers.

I’m 50/50. My mom and one of my sisters can be pretty awful. My other sister and my Future Mother-In-Law are awesome.

Lol, I don’t have a problem with either. My mom and my Mother-In-Law (I’m not married, but whatever, that’s what she is to me) are so awesome. I only have a brother, which I thank God everyday for instead of a sister, but my SILs are fun; we’re actually pretty close.

Personally, I think it’s both and it varies in different circumstances as they both get crazy about different things. For example, for the wedding, I got crap from both Mother-In-Law and SIL but SIL fought more with me than ILs. However, currently in my pregnancy, SIL seems more understanding whereas Mother-In-Law is more like, “You should name him/her this” and “When s/he comes, I’m going to do xyz.”

@leecy87:  I’m close with my mom and my sister. I have one SIL who I adore, and one SIL who I just absolutely hate. I think it’s a reflection of who she is as a person though, not the fact that she is my SIL. Everyone hates her 😛

@leecy87:  I thought the wedding prep caused crazy. No no, apparently pregnancy really brings out the crazy! LOL

I don’t have any sisters (not even SIL’s)… so I have nothing to compare my mother to.

My mother and I have a much better relationship than my sister and I do. My sister will probably be my Maid/Matron of Honor and she will drive me crazy!

However, my Future Mother-In-Law is a helicopter mom, she has trouble letting go of the apron strings. Fiance is a momma’s boy, but she drives me crazy sometimes, still doing his washing, putting his clothes away, cooking and cleaning, and hovering and asking the same thing every five minutes. But I have gotten him to stop letting her tidy his room and make his bed every day at least.

You don’t have an option for me: My sister and my mom are equally amazing and I’d rather spend time with them than with anyone else (aside from my husband, of course).

My mother and sister equally! She is just a younger version! My dad and I often have to hide away from their irrational crazy antics.
