My fiance is in a wheelchair so he’s obviously going to be sitting down for our ceremony lol. I want to sit down too so we can look each other in the eyes and he doesn’t have to look up at me! I’m wondering though, what kind of chair should I invest in? Our theme is vintage so I was maybe thinking an old antique chair but then there’s the decision of what TYPE of chair
There’s sitting chairs like this
or I could just use a steel folding chair that the ceremony guests will be sitting on. Of course, I need to take into account our small budget & the ease of finding a vintage chair in the first place lol.

what kind of venue do you have? i would think that would dictate the look of the chair 🙂
oh and what kind of dress? i would suggest a stool if it has an awesome back to your dress so the church can see that too 🙂

I like your idea for using a vintage chair. I like the second chair best, it just looks more delicate with more space under the seat. It will be a nice momento of the day! Wow, it would be so romantic to be able to sit in the chair you said your vows in later.
Hmm, if it’s impossible to find a vintage chair at antique stores or second-hand stores or estate auctions, maybe you could find a prop store to rent from (even though I just made a big deal about having the chair later!).

I also like the second chair best. I think it is more elegant. The pink one would draw too much attention.

I agree with you guys. I think the 2nd chair is better. 🙂
Our venue is just an outside park. Lots of green grass and trees. I think with the other decor I have in mind (petals on the aisle, helium balloons tied onto some of the chairs http://www.landlockedbride.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/12/balloons-outdoor-wedding-ceremony-inspiration-580×384.jpg, etc) the 1st chair will take away from the other awesome ideas I have planned lol.
I feel that having to sit down will make us feel far apart though. We tested to see how close we could sit to each other while facing each other the other day and it’s def not as close as I’d like to be. But oh well, I guess!
