So I called in Thursday and Friday because my dad was in the hospital and I was with him.
It’s been snowing for 2 and a half days here, and is still snowing with wind now. I live back in a sub division and the roads are completely untouched. No plows, salt, anything.
On good roads my commute to work is 20 minutes. Me and Fiance have 2 cars, but one of them is not going to be able to make it off our road (rear wheel drive sedan, about 7 inches of snow on road) so we only have our SUV for travels.
I’m in quite the sticky situation bees. FIs job is, by comparison, much more important than mine. He has to go to work. If I call in again, they are going to request a doctors not, which I don’t have.
I’m about to have a break down bees, what should I do!?!?!?

@beecurse: Can he not drop you off before he goes to work?

@julies1949: He works from 10 pm until 10AM and doesn’t get home until after 11AM. I work at 8 AM so that wouldn’t work.

@beecurse: I would just call your boss and explain the situation

@beecurse: Take a cab? Phone a colleague and see if they can pick you up? See if your Fiance can get a ride with someone else so you can have the better vehicle? Can you stay overnight with someone who lives closer to your work so you can ride with them or walk to work?
I am an ER nurse so I am used to being responsible to get myself to work no matter what the road conditions.

See if you can grab a ride with a coworker, or a friend that lives near by. Or call a cab. (:
