Being ablist does not consist of merely mentioning someone’s condition, which is all the OP has done.
We are actually allowed to refer to people, you know.
Being ablist (or racist for that matter) involves discrimination or stereotyping of some kind, placing the person at a disadvantage. It is not simply mentioning a quality that someone has.
There were literally zero inferences drawn in the OP’s post about her friend based on his condition. She simply referred to the fact.
You cannot outlaw mentioning people’s qualities. Even calling someone black is not in and of itself racist. That is absurd.
