Rude. How does a size 4 finger in any way resemble a size 10?

Bees just posting her ring left and right. It’s beautiful but…not answering the question

It could still help to see different sized stones on different sized fingers. I wear a Size 9. This is a 2.5ct center. Sides are .33ct each.

This is a 1ct from berricle, I got to try. I am a size 10, but this is a 9 or 9.5 (whatever is berricle’s biggest size).

I don’t get the anger and catty comments!  The ring Megyostphillips posted was the correct size and style the poster was asking to see!  Because her finger is a size 4 and not a 10 isn’t going to make a difference unless it pisses you off to see a tiny finger!  I’d bet if someone posted a bigger than size 10 finger, no one would make rude comments but because her fingers smaller some of you think it’s fair game to be rude.

megyostphillips :  Your ring is absolutely beautiful and is the style and size the the poster was asking to see.  Ignore the rude comments about your smaller than a size 10 finger.

notlookingtogetmarried :  “similar size finger, 1 ct or less preferable” per OPs request.

A huge rock (gorgeous though it is 😍) on an itty bitty finger isn’t helpful in getting a good idea of what a more modest stone looks like on a size 10 finger…is I think the point people are trying to make.

megyostphillips :  at any rate, your ring is quite lovely and a big help to me that you posted it. A wide variety of people read these posts for different reasons. Although it doesn’t SPECIFICALLY fit into every category that the OP requested, it IS an emerald cut with halo and that is what she is looking to buy! Mine is an emerald cut on a fat ass finger but at least double the ct weight she is looking for, a 3-stone and no halo. Nobody complained.

So five years down the road, people shopping for emerald cuts can search and read this thread and despite all the cattiness will be able to see megyostphillips 2.1ct on her Size 4 finger and my 2.5ct on my Size 9 finger and amandajanes 1ct on her Size 10 finger and hopefully it will help someone get an idea what they’re in the market for. That’s why we do this. No?

I could see the angst if she posted a 5ct ROUND which had NOTHING to do with the topic of conversation but geez Louise.

How is my reaction to an unhelpful post “rude”? It’s just like a curvy and voluptuous woman asking to see how a certain dress looks on a person of her same size and a little size 2 girl posts a pic of herself in said dress.

im not arguing that the size 4 ring isn’t beautiful, it’s stunning, but the title of this post specifically asked about EMERALD CUT ON SIZE 10 FINGER. IN CAPS.

I’m speaking my mind on a situation that is blatantly sizist. It seems like the OP is being shamed. This second post was neither helpful, nor neighbourly.

as far as it being a point of reference, I usually refer to the title of the post to target specifics. It saves time and helps me to narrow down my information to pertinent topics only.
