 @beemo:  +1000

@BrandNewBride:  what are you thinking? Humblebragging at it’s finest.  I am perfectly happy with my pre-preg size but stopping by to tell us how hard it is to be a size 2 makes no sense.  Feels like a big budget bride stopping in on a thread about small budgets to tell them how much easier it must be to have less to spend.

You’re not making friends over here with your patronizing attitude. and for the record, that must have been a huge lunch you had- your size 2 bump looks pretty average to me.

@mamadingdong:  Wow! I’m so, so sorry! I had no idea I was coming off like that–I was honestly just surprised (and jealous of all the cute, shapely bumps!)

I’ll remove my comment.

I definitely did NOT intend to be “that girl”, I honestly thought it was a supportive compliment!

@BrandNewBride:  FYI, it’s never supportive to mention you’re a size 2 in a thread directed to ladies who are not a size 2. Ever.

The sad thing is your comment would’ve been fine had you not made it about you.

FWIW, if I read it in the way of an innocent mention, it doesn’t sound like she was trying to show she’s a size 2.

She was saying she’s jealous that you guys have bumps already (every pregnant woman would WANT a bump no matter what jean size) and that she barely does.

BUT, it has little to do with plus size, and more of genetics, and abdomen muscles and such. From what I’ve read.

You ladies look amazing, btw… you all look so happy and beautiful. Congrats!

I took it the same way.  A bit thoughtless, but completely innocent.

@ImmaBee:  Yeah, I definitely see where I went wrong. Really, REALLY wrong. I saw a bunch of girls mention that they were surprised at how much/how fast they were showing, and I was trying to be a part of the conversation (ignorantly and thoughtlessly, clearly)

I promise I won’t do it again! I’m so sorry!

I was a 12 pre preg and there was no question I was pregnant. This is 38 weeks.

@BrandNewBride:  I respect other people’s feelings about this but IMO, you should quit apologizing. They are obviously not going to accept your regret about it now. I am a size 12 and took no offense to this whatsoever.

I have read your other posts and you are a very sweet person!!! I support you 100% in this!!! Let it go and come back to our rant fest haha!

I am not pregnant and we won’t start trying for a baby for another couple of years. Right now, I am a size 24 and I think if I was pregnant I would never show :[ I haven’t seen anyon post that is this size yet to see any kind of compairison. Do you think I would? I honestly think I have the motivation to loose weight so I can have a pregnant belly too.

@HelloRaeven:  I’m a size 20/22 pre-preg and here’s a photo from 15w.  Depending on how I dress, I look pregnant or just fat.  I’m sure by the next few weeks, though, I will look full-on pregnant! My sister was a 22 and definitely looked pregnant after 20w.

@BrandNewBride:  You did nothing wrong! You did nothing but compliment them. People who are confidence in themselves wouldn’t get that mad at a person who said they’re a different (even smaller) size then them.
