If you read my first post about dress shopping, you’d know how discouraged I was about not being able to try anything on. Davids Bridal had 4 dresses in my size…but they were nothing like what I wanted! I drove 80 miles to go to DB, I was for sure they’d have my dream dress! Over the next weekend I decided to look at our local shops. The first one we went to I was showing the consultant pictures and she got to my favorite one and said, we have this one! I was shocked, “No way, what size?!” She said a size 24. “OMG, that’s my size!” I couldn’t believe I was actually going to get to try on one of my dresses!
Time for some pictures. First the David’s Bridal gowns and another dress that didn’t make the cut…
II actually loved the top on this one, it was the bottem half I wasn’t crazy about.
This is the dress they made me keep on for 45 minutes, thinking that I loved it when I never said that.
I asked to try on two things 1) A ball gown cause I never tried one on before. 2) A Vera Wang gown since my ring was Vera and thought it would be neat. This dress was fun to have on, but did make me look 10xs bigger. And it was HOT!
This dress was so an almost dress. But I was really wanting some more coverage.
And the gown I have chosen! It’s a Mary’s Bridal Gown and also a replica of Princess Kate’s dress. There are both detachable long sleeves and train that I won’t be wearing. The top needs to be taken in at the sholders and under the arms and the middle “sash” part will be let out a half inch on each side. They will make the bottem a bubble skirt when they hem it. I love it!
