Take a look at this website… http://www.diamdb.com/

You can choose the size and shape of a stone and see how it would look on your finger by ring size. It’s probably the best way to compare side by side.

I’m a  size 6.75 so a little bigger than you, this is a 1.5c. With my lifestyle (city living, public transportation, active-ish),  I would never go bigger than 2c. Just for me personally!

I’m a 6, here’s a 2ct square cushion(top). I don’t remember the specs of the bottom stone, sorry. The 2ct was too big for me! Ended up with 1.5ct rectangular prince cut (last pic) and it’s perfect.

Size 6, 2.54ct emerald cut. Truthfully best bet is to go try them on, then you’ll get a better feel. Also, these up close pictures make the rings look larger (imo) so when I saw a 1ct in person I was a little disappointed (no offense to anyone!), you really just need to try them on!

Here’s my 1.51 cushion on size 6.25 finger. Personally, I wouldn’t go any bigger. Sometimes I feel like 1.5 is too big!

Mine is a 1.54 cushion but actually faces up closer to 1.7 ct. My ring size is 4.75.. I definitely wouldn’t go any bigger!

Since you are taking the moissy route you should have one looking like at least 3-4 carat IMO! 😘

bibbithebee :  Are you serious? OP would sprain her finger. 😀

I suggest going some ring browsing and seeing what feels right for you personally. You can never tell from pics how it would feel. Keep in mind this is a ring  you will wear for the rest of your life, not a cocktail ring, make sure it’s comfy for everyday! 🙂

Personally, I’m really happy with my 3/4 ct equivalent sapphire. My husband says we can upgrade down the road if I want but I really don’t see myself wanting to go any bigger.

My set (ignore the chipped nail polish):

I have a 8mm 2 ct equiv. on size 6. Sometimes I wish I would have gone smaller but I do have another 1ct moissy ring that I switch out with.

I have a 7.5 mm moissanite on a size 5 finger. When I first got it, it felt huge! Now it feels normal but people definitely exclaim over it.

I’m way smaller than you at 4.25 and i’m getting a 3ct morganite (9mm). Size is whatever you prefer, You can’t go overboard, personally. Everyone has different tastes, just get what you like best! I say bigger the better!
