Corset back! And don’t worry, everyone is a different shape, go to a good store that has dresses in your size and try them all on. My friend almost skipped a dress because she said it just looked like a pile of whipped cream, but we made her try it on and it was one of those *gasp* moments. so go experiment!

Standardized measurements suck!  There’s absolutely nothing unusual about being different than what a size chart tells you you should be.  What style of gown are you looking for?  There are so many styles that are loose at the hip and in that case, you won’t have any problem.  Even if you want a style that is fitted at the hip, it’s so much easier to take it in than let it out!  Also, having a seamstress make your dress can be cheaper than you think.  There’s some good info on offbeat bride:
