- Wedding: May 2015 - backyard wedding!!
so I got my wedding rings back after they were soldered together and now they feel a little tight. I usually am a 5 1/2… So that’s what they still are but it’s hard to get them off. Should I get it sized to 5 3/4ths? Thanks!!

I don’t know where you are, but it’s not even warm here yet, so if it’s tight now, it would be unbearable in July!
I’d rather be comfortable, myself – plus, with that set you will notice if it starts to fall off pretty quickly!

I heard that if you solder rings, or have thicker rings, it’s good to size them up

I know that I personally have to go up a little but when I have a thicker ring. Might not be a bad idea.

I would size them up. They’ll be more comfortable in the summer months.

Yes, you definitely need them sized up. thicker rings always fit differently than thin – soldering together your rings is like getting a new ring. The fit will feel tight.

Yep, the more you stack and the thicker they are the less room for your finger. When you had them soldered they should have mentioned that to you.

I would get them sized up. You’re only going to swell up more as it gets warmer!
As PPs said, the thicker rings are the smaller they feel, so when you get them soldered together you are essentially making a thicker ring that will seem smaller.

I was thinking the same thing when I had my WB and Ering Soldered before our wedding. on my honeymoon I didn’t notice as much because I was having too much fun and was too excited, haha but noticed when I got home. I did not end up sizing mine up.. I got used to it and they fit perfect now. But I would say if they are still uncomfortable in a week/few days to size them up. especially if you swell sometimes it’s definitely a good idea.
