The thread about proper sizing got me thinking, how much does the style of your band affect the sizing?
I have a 6mm comfort fit band that fits perfectly in size 5.5, but I don’t know if this would translate to a regular, non-comfort fit band (are they called flat?) of 2-3mm.
Are you supposed to go bigger or smaller for regular bands vs comfort fit?

@Jade33: I’m interested in knowing this as well. They say that you should order a 1/2 size smaller in comfort fit because they leave extra room inside because of the extra metal they use to make the inside rounded but I hear other people say they fit true to size. I’m just as confused as you. What I do know is that my band always feels tighter than my e-ring even though they are the same size so I almost have to have a bit of a larger size in my band.. like 1/4 size.

I have a comfort-fit ring (not my wedding ring) that I think fits true to size? I think like anything else, it’s a matter of preference. I will say that ring is quite comfy, which I thought was weird but when I started trying on flat bands after getting used to it I hated them…LOL

My experience with comfort fit is they do fit 1/4-1/2 size looser. My last rings were comfort fit, 3mm each, 6.25, and they fit looser than my 6.5 rings (my actual ring size is around 5.25-5.5 so they were loose anyway, but I noticed the difference when my hands were swollen.
The difference is more noticeable with wider bands.
