cbgg:  I do! I LOVE it, and yeah, it is frickin hard, especially the big uphills! I think that’s partly why I love it- such a good workout. I also like that I can take my dog (well, on some trails- some are no dogs), I get to be outside, it is a full body strength workout AND super aerobic AND low-impact! Well, until you eat it haha. I also like to alpine ski but skate skiing is just awesome and here is Alaska there are so many good trails and stuff. Here is a pic of me and my dog from a couple of springs ago- we got a nice freeze/thaw cycle going so you could skate ski all kinds of places like across frozen lakes and tundras. I can’t wait for this spring!

@cbgg:  Nordic?  I did as a kid.  And a I started again a few years ago, but I go pretty infrequently.  It’s a fantastic workout… but I’d much rather be zipping around on downhills.

cbgg:  I do a little although I’m not very good at it.  It just takes the perfect amount of rythym and coordination, which I find hard as a newbie, and you’re working your entire freaking body, so yeah – exhausting!

MrsAKSkier:  goddamn I gotta get to Alaska!  Amazing.  We have pretty great mountains in Wyoming but you all take it to the next level  🙂

ETA: also, it’s so weird how the photo reply is showing up above the OP. Ugh.
