I am trying to find the best products for my skin. I have been trying different moisturizers and such, and cannot seem to find what I like. I am starting to get laugh lines around my eyes, and would really like those to be gone, along with the dark circles that come from working so much. I will be 43 when I marry, and it is just so important that my pictures DO NOT REFLECT my age. I don’t want to look like I am old and tired! LOL!!
Also make up. I have tried literally all the makeup that is sold in the local stores. And well to put it mildly, it just looks like crap! I am not a heavy user of makeup, I use very little, and really like the less is more look. I don’t have perfect skin anymore, and I am desperately seeking something that will even my color out, and not look like it is plastered on my face.
Please help bees. I don’t know where to begin to find the products I should be using. Oh and my skin can tend to be very sensitive, and just about anything will cause irritation.

Both my mum and I are huge fans of French pharmacy skincare brands (I’m 30, she’ll be 60 next year). I find they have amazing products at reasonable prices, with more focus on efficacy than marketing compared to a lot of high-end brands. They are particularly good for sensitive skin types. This is a good place to start for recommendations:
Personally I really like La Roche Posay, Avene and Bioderma. All of these brands are excellent for sensitive skin and have anti-aging lines. Makeupalley.com is a great resource for reviews of pretty much any product under the sun!
As for makeup, I think you could go for two options on two ends of the spectrum. For everyday, a BB cream or a good tinted moisturiser. My favourite is the original BB cream by Dr Jart, it basically feels like a very hydrating, lightweight-yet-sufficiently-pigmented cross between a tinted moisturiser and a foundation. It’s Korean, but you can get it at Sephora:
I use the original blue one and my mum swears by the black and gold one (which I think is the anti-aging version) but they are all quite similar and good.
For your wedding and other special occasions, I’d check out Armani. They have an amazing cream foundation that’s just beautiful. It’s meant to be more ‘mature’ skin types but I’ve used it before and it’s nice just because it’s so moisturising and kind of gives you a lovely glow.
I hope that helps a little! x

I am 36 and recently started using the Patricia Wexler MD line from Bath and Body Works. It’s a little pricier than grocery store brands, but not TOO expensive (you can usually find a discount code on retailmenot.com) My skin has never looked better! I love what it’s done for me…they have a starter kit that’s $40 but comes with 4 products that will last 30 days so you can really get a feel for if you like it or not.
