@DBGolightly:  I love Philosphy products. They have this really great Vitamin C Peel called the Microdelivery Peel. It’s amazing! Your skin is squeaky clean and so soft not to mention glowing afterwards! I also love their Hope in a Jar lotion, very breathable lotion and feels great. For blackheads I use a little blackhead extractor, like those little double ended metal tools, but they are terrible If you don’t use it right! If you just want your skin glowing, maybe try an exfolianUp philosophy has good ones and I also like Dermalogical, both found at Ulta. If you have an Ulta nearby go and check out their stuff! It’s fun to play!

Like the PP said, an extractor is great for removing blackheads and build up on the nose (which are probably the causes of your breakouts).

Another thing I would recommend is finding an esthetician and get bimonthly facials. The costs may be a little steep (~$80), but my skin always glows after I’ve had a facial. If at all possible, find someone who uses organic products, as these are less likely to break you out.

On the subject of organic products, if you are looking to change a few products in your daily routine, I’d say look into Evan Healy, Sibu, or Acure Organic products. I’ve never had better skin than when I switched over to wholey organic skin care. Whole Foods carries all three brands and they aren’t much more expensive than drugstore products and can even be cheaper than stuff from Sephora. Specifically for any skin type, I’d recommend Evan Healy French Rose Clay Mask. It really gets deep into pores if you steam your face beforehand and pulls out all the yucky stuff.
