I am sorry I don’t have much to offer in the way of advice but I just wanted to let you know that a similar thing happened to me only all of a sudden about 2 months before the wedding I started breaking out on my back and shoulders – monsters!  I tried different acne treatment and exfoliating and acne wipes.  I also changed laundry detergent and soap in the shower! To be honest it didn’t really change much  – I had to ask one of my friends to put cover up on a couple of them before the wedding!  Within about a week or maybe two they were gone. Poof! Like magic.  So I think it was all due to stress (and I wasn’t an overly stressed out bride!)

Is there any way you can see a dermatologist?  You might get advice on topical meds or oral meds that might work to blast them in time for the wedding. Otherwise make sure you drink lots of water and keep stress levels down – that might help!

Good luck!

HAve you changed hiar products? That can do it to the forehead.

I agree with the hair product suggestion.  I would also be wary of exfoliation on pimples.  That can actually make them worse.  It might be good to try a facial now since you have some time before the wedding because it might be able to bring out some of those pimples.  Your skin might look worse after the facial for a bit though.

If it’s not due to hair products, it could be seasonal and also stress related (being a month away from your wedding).  Have you tried an acne treatment, like a cream w/ benzol peroxide?  I use Neutrogena “on the spot” or something like that with 2.5% bp.  It dries out pimples pretty well.

Even though you rinse the shampoo, you could be sensitive to one of the ingredients in it. Definitely bet on it being the shapoo or conditioner.

some dermatologists can use cortizone shots to calm down your skin too! I haven’t done it, but I have heard it works, and with a month to go it may be worth asking!

Purity face wash by Philosphy.  Can get it at Sephora or on line.  There is NOTHING like it.  My skin is great but it is one helluva cleaner, let me tell you! And would clear up any skin issues.

My face has been doing that also. I went to see my dermotologist who prescribed me a very mild acne medication. It has really helped. I can tell when I stop using it because my forehead starts to break out again!

You could try this Mario Badescu Drying Lotion – I found out about it on weddingbee and it seriously calmed down my painful, deep zit in one or two days. You can buy it online there, or on Amazon, or try the store locator thing on the website.

It was $17 but you only use a bit at a time on each zit with a Q-tip, and leave it on overnight.

Lots of 2.5% benzoyl peroxide with a few drops of jojoba oil to stop your skin from drying out — works like a charm! But be careful, it will bleach your clothes.

@Miss Sequoia: Yeah, it can also bleach pillowcases or your towels, too, so ditto on the being careful if you use this stuff.
