Okay… I need some help. I have acne prone skin. Usually though they are small and easily concealed with make up. On Saturday, I woke up with a large zit on my cheek. I have tried different things (Benzyol Peroxide and Salicyilc Acid) and nothing has worked. I tried covering it with make up, but it was still visible. I am thisclose to pulling a My Big Fat Greek Wedding and spraying it with Windex. My wedding is in two days and I am worried I am going to have to live with this zit in those pictures forever. Any advice?

Do you have a dermatologist? If so, call them ASAP for a cortizone injection.

For me, the Clean & Clear Advantage on the spot treatment works. It cost about $6. Use it 2x a day after moisturizing and redness goes down as well as size. I have heard some people not like it as much as I do. It all depends on your skin type.

You can also get a cream with 1% hydrocortisone in it, made for things like painful acne. It usually makes a difference very quickly!

@Gemstone: Like the stuff I have for when I get a bug-bite? or is it special hydrocortisone stuff?
@MrsSaltWaterTaffy: Thanks for the tip about calling my dermatologist…I didn’t even think of that.
@MASPA: I have been using Nutregena’s version of the on-the-spot treatment, and haven’t seen any results. Have you seen Clean and Clear work in a few days?

This might sound weird but the antiseptic they give you when you get your ears pierced REALLY works on acne for me, it’s kind of drying though, so make sure you moisturize well and exfoliate the next day.

I have acne prone skin as well and have been visited with pimples like you described many, many times… unfortunately. Have you tried any topical medications with sulfur in it yet? Fred Meyer has Bye Bye Blemish, it will significanty reduce its size overnight. Goodluck my dear!
