I am in need of some assistance. My daughter and I went shop[ping for some jeans for her and she only wants to wear skinny jeans. The problem we had was they are all to long! She even tried on the ones that are marked short in length. She is 5’3″ and wears a size 9. We were at the mall and went in what seems like every single store there!
Does anyone have any suggestions on where I can get her some skiin skins for her. I would like to keep the price under $40 if possible.
Thanks in advance everyone!

My daughter is 5’5″ and she loves the skinny jeans at Wal-mart and Target b/c they have a little bit of stretch in the material. I shop in the Junior section and the length is usually OK. There is another store at the mall that she likes as well Aerostaple? I think that’s how you spell it.

Hi! I’m 5′ and really only wear skinny jeans. I’ve had the most luck with Gap and Express in a lower price range. They both have petite lines, so the inseams are nice and short. Express carries their short sizing in stores, I’m not sure if Gap does as I’ve only bought their jeans online. I believe they only carry even sizes, so she should try on an 8 and a 10 to see which would work better.
Otherwise, if she finds a pair she likes you can get it tailored for not too much.

If the only problem is the length, then I would find a pair she likes and get them hemmed at a tailor (if you can’t hem them yourself on a home sewing machine). If you watch shows like “What Not To Wear” you will see they have people get their clothes tailored all the time, especially for women who are short. There is no shame in having to get new clothes tailored so that they will fit you perfectly.

Have you tried Old Navy? Their skinny jeans are only $30, and they have short lengths. Their skinny jeans are all I wear (except I have to get tall, not short). Good luck!

I’d suggest her picking out her favorite pair and having someone take the hem up in them for you. If you’re handy with a sewing machine or know someone who is just get a heavy duty needle and do it yourself.

Thanks for all the advice! We will try Express and then if I can’t find anything there we will just have to hem them!

I bought my skinny jeans at H&M – they were cheap. They were too long, but it only cost me $7 to get them hemmed at a local seamstress.
