Any age, but you need to adjust the cut as you age. An adult woman should not be wearing the skinny jeans from Hollister meant for teenage girls with boyish figures.

I think it depends what you pair them with and what the style of the jeans are (like, if they’re all ripped up and super low slung). And I definitely think there is a cut off age for jeggings. Other than that- I say any age.

If it looks good, wear it.

It’s not about age, but body type.  They only look good on women with straight figures.  If you’re curvy, they make your butt and hips look gigantic.

I have to disagree with some PPs. I think there is an age component here. There is a woman at my work who is in her mid-late 50s who wears skinny jeans on casual friday, and it’s just so wrong. She has an amazing figure, one that many 20 somethings would kill for, but it’s just not age appropriate, IMO.

I agree, it is ALL about fit, not age on pretty much any style of clothing. I think if you can appropriatly rock the skinny jeans, the rock the skinny jeans. My 78 year old grandma would look amazing in skinny jeans, but I at 22 won’t ever try because my body type was not made for skin tight pants. I hate when people feel so pressured by trends that they have to  put themselves in something that doens’t flatter their body. There are SO many ways to look trendy, and in ways that flatter your figure, but I know if I attempted to squish my massive legs into skinny jeans, it would look more like summer sausage than stylish.

I don’t think it’s age, but how you wear it. Obviously in the fall/winter months alot of women wear skinnies to tuck into boots, and I don’t tink htere’s an age limit on that! I’ve seen some pretty curvy ladies wear skinny’s and they look damn good. They are not only meant for younger, skinny girls.

@lovekiss:  Then she isn’t wearing the right cut of skinny jean for her age and/or body type.

The fit and the shoes you pair them with.  I’m past the age where I can get away with skinny jeans and canvas runners.  I even feel like flats are pushing it.

I think nice, not super low rise skinny jeans with boots looks good on almost any age!

@babeandbabe:  I think any age, provided they fit well. No I haven’t seen many people over 40 wearing them, but there’s a difference between them being skin tight and extremely low cut vs. a more ‘mature’ shape.

I think that as long as you have the body for them, go for it. Really they just fit a bit tighter and have tapered legs, right?

If you like them, wear them. Who cares what other people think. There was a thread a while back about visible bra straps and how badly people hate them. Really?! If that’s on your radar, you need a hobby.

I don’t think there is an age limit on skinny jeans, as long as it fits well.  My mom is 53 and rocks them.  She’s petite and looks nice in them, why not?

age has nothing to do with it.  it’s body type.  if you can rock a pair of skinny jeans, then go for it, whatever your age.  i know that i’ve seen some young girls wearing skinny jeans who definitely shouldn’t have.  i find that more offensive.

I think it depends on the styling and the rise/fit. A lot of women I’m friends with at the gym are in their 50s and wear skinny jeans all the time. As long as they fit well and aren’t juniors-section style trendy, I think they can be appropriate at any age.
