We are considering skipping the rehearsal. We have a small bridal party 1Bridesmaid or Best Man, 1GW and the best man. Ceremony will be short (30 minutes tops) and we don’t anticipate that there will be a lot of readings or anything like that. Is there anything else that happens at a rehearsal that we should consider before we decide to skip it?

We are considering doing this as well. We are also keeing it short and sweet and we each only have 2 people standing up for us. I am interertested in seeing the feedback on this one!

I’m with you, I’m thinking of skipping the rehearsal for our quick ceremony. I hope some other bees have some useful tips!

We’re having a 30 min (or less) ceremony as well, and I actually would rather have our vows for each other be a surprise on the day of, so I am thinking of skipping it as well. I’m interested to see the responses!

I think Fiance and I could meet with the officiant and DOC to go over everything and have the DOC show everyone where to stand the day of the wedding. We’ll be there for at least an hour before the ceremony anyway.

I honestly can’t think of anything. I also had a very small wedding party and the only thing that needed to be ironed out was the order (easy) and when to give my bouquet to my sister (also easy). We didn’t have a rehearsal and things went totally smoothly. Our DOC directed us and talked us through everything as it was happening, and once the ceremony is underway you just follow instructions. 🙂 You’ll be fine without it!
