- Wedding: October 2010
I’m in a long distance relationship and instead of our six month engagement we’ve decided to semi-elope in just over 3 months. We usually see each other once a month. He’s coming on a family vacation out of town with me in August, and then I guess I’ll be visiting him in September in his state so we can get the wedding bands.
My friend who’s a photographer offered to do our shots. She is a nature/wildlife photographer and wanted to expand her portfolio.
But now with the schedule change, I’m not sure the three of us will be in the same place at the same time until the weekend of the wedding. I know many wedding photographers will give you the option to include them in the package, but we probably won’t be meeting our photographer in person until the week of the wedding.
So do we try and find someone to do an official e-pic in the meantime? We have a pic that was snapped of us just a few hours after the proposal that’s wonderful, as well as one a different friend of ours took a few days later. Of course they’re not professional photos, but they do capture the two of us quite beautifully.
Another reason I’m debating having e-pics done is the timeline. I thought that e-pics were used on the wedding website, for engagement announcements, and for save the dates and/or invites. It’s highly unlikely that we could get pics done and ready in time for all those things.
So do we skip e-pics altogether? Do we try and get some done the next time we see each other? Do we we use the non-pro shots we already have?
