I am on YAZ. To skip your period, you take ALL active pills, and then go straight into the next pack. By only taking 21, you would be wasting the last few pills for no reason, and not taking the proper amount per cycle, and I imagine that would screw some things up. But always talk to a doctor first. And expect some side effects like spotting, and possibly a heavier period when you do get it 2 months later.

Hope that helps! 🙂

When I was on Yaz I skipped the whole last week and went straight to the new pack.  I never really thought about taking those other four pills, but it probably wouldn’t hurt to take them and then move on to the next pack, it’d just make your period be at a different time of the month when you start taking the placebo pills again, but that’s nbd I would imagine.

My doctor told me it doesn’t matter either way…  When I need to do it, I just skip the full last week because I like to start with Sundays in the 1st spot!

All the pills have the same dosage so take all the active ones and just skip the placebos at the end.  I did this with Yaz just fine.

I wouldn’t take part of the active pills and then take the rest later.  That won’t fully protect you from pregnancy.  I think it’s better just to skip your period this time and then go back to using the packs as normal.

Nope if you skip your period this time, it will be a week ahead next month.
