coiledrose:  Honestly I can’t imagine why anyone would want to help you after such snarky  unappreciative replies. I can understand you’re frustrated but these bees are only trying to help, make suggestions, clarify your wishes or provide information for you

I have never thought of a skull ring until now! Very cool! I think the ones with skulls facing outward on either side of the main stone, only tweak it with small side stones made into the tops of the skulls would come off as very unique and awesome! Like a 3 stone art deco-esque ring.  Oh man I’m so excited for you…you’ll have to show us when you find someone! I would assume DK is a good person for the job.  Sorry I can’t be of more help.

coiledrose:  Whoa. Defensive much? While I appreciate the essay, I think the real problem is you’re a bit sensitive to the fact that not everyone thinks a skull motif floats their boat when it comes to an engagement ring setting. While this may not necessarily be helpful in your quest, this is the Bee, and the ring boards, so this is what goes on, opinions get expressed. As for the Hot Topic comment, I think that was merely a suggestion on how you could get your skull fix if you did not find exactly what you were looking for in an engagement ring within your budget.

Down girl.

Alternative suggestion: you could get the skulls in your wedding band instead of e-ring that way the price is lower. Or you could get it engraved on whichever you pick. I also work with chemicals and the nitrile gloves have been enough to keep my ring from being damaged.

coiledrose:  My e-ring was from Kay Jeweler and the band is from the etsy shop Siamhandmade2014. They are overseas and I was a little worried about that but I had no problems. It’s very dainty in person, more than it looks like from the pictures. They also have lots of colors, including gold and black but I’m willing to bet the stones are glass or something equally cheap. You could easily replace them with real ones though.
