(Closed) Sky Lanterns at reception, Do you think this would be nice?

I love them, but have you cleared them with your venue?  I had to go through all kinds of things, including a higher insurance policy.  I opted against them.

 I saw somebody do this and the lanterns dont stay lit very long plus they have to come down so you kind of end up littering

I like the idea, just not really practical 🙁 sorry

I’ve done lanterns before (a giant heart and some square ones) and the colder it is the faster/higher they travel. Around 60F would be perfect w/o them just being sucked into the sky. It’s so much fun, just look into the regulations before you do it.

The place I got them from said that because they are made out of tissue paper they should dissolve within 2 months.

We estimated 1 each for our wedding so hv tons leftover. Let me know if anyone is interested. $2 each including priority shipping.

for a small fee, I can also buy n tie strings on the frame so you can gently guide them back to you when the fuel pack finishes.
